Hidden Nook Hatchery

About Us
I started my journey with a sixty year old Rcom incubator that was my grandmas and a carton of mixed hatching eggs from my aunt. That was 2016. We have since grown to nine breeding groups and three incubators thanks to our wonderful customers for choosing to support our small business. Farming is in my blood, I was raised on a beef cattle farm and I still have cows. We feel a degree of self-sufficiency is so important especially in today's ever changing world. Our goal of helping others produce their own food feels more important than ever. We love receiving pictures and feedback from our customers and helping them on their new or experienced chicken adventure. These relationships are a shared passion that you get to experience when you buy from a small breeder.

Our Story
Local Family Farm

Purchasing from a small farm can give you a great insight into how their flocks are raised. Because of bio security reasons we share our chickens via social media to keep our flock (and your flock) safe. Check out our Facebook page! We take great care in practicing selective breeding: breeding with a goal in mind and by carefully choosing our stock. This requires time and an intimate knowledge of our birds. We tag, track, and take notes on each of our chickens throughout their lives and only select the best for our breeding program. It is very important to us to add new genetics, this keeps the resulting chicks strong and healthy!
We believe it is important to select your future chickens from a small farm that cares for their birds with the same attention and love that you will. I am excited to start hatching and share that adventure with you, we are incredibly grateful for the support!
